On the east side of California's Salton Sea, lies the once thriving community of Bombay Beach. One of my favorite places to visit and enjoy for the nostalgia and memories of what once were have been re-imagined in this sassy little melt!
Take yourself back to the fifties when Bombay Beach was the place to be with the sweet blend of an old fashioned vanilla cream soda and fresh summer cantaloupe!
**A History of Bombay Beach**
Bombay Beach is a small now desolate town on the east shore of the Salton Sea. The Salton Sea, located in the southeastern corner of California, is actually a lake covering an area of 376 square miles, and was created by a flood in 1905, when water from the Colorado River flowed into the area.
