Well hello Beams!
It’s time for one of our fun little chats! These are a nice way for me to pull back the curtain and let you know that Moonbeams while being a company, is run by real humans… well mostly just one human, and that human likes to let you know what’s happening behind the scenes here at Moonbeams!
First I need to start off with a big one! As of last week I have started a new full time position here in Detroit! I’ll be working in basically the same type of office job that I had when I first started Moonbeams 7 years ago, but on a much larger scale (and not in California with a killer office and mountain/desert views behind my screen… womp womp). I am very excited to have a job that gets me up and out of the house everyday! While working on Moonbeams exclusively for the past 3 years has been absolutely wonderful, unfortunately hermitting in the studio with only my podcasts and random people walking by outside, it’s been bearing down on my mental health and I needed to make a change.
So what does this mean for the future of Moonbeams? Well I’ve been thinking a lot on this! Obviously since Covid a lot has changed, we’ve had our ups and downs (I’m looking at you broken ankle and major surgery…) and I’ve decided to keep Moonbeams afloat, but scale things back BIG TIME. This year we’ve been working on going through our extensive inventory of oils and making everything we have on hand. Many of the scents we’ve been making are on their final voyage (think like the Elves heading to Valinor for all of you LOTR fans). While I love 99% of the scents we’ve made, with nearly 600 scents under our asteroid belt, it’s time to scale back and focus on the scents that we all REALLY love! I’m still figuring out all of the ways that I want to propel Moonbeams going forward and I think I have a good plan, but I will need YOUR input in the coming months to make sure that plan is executed effectively!

Again, I don’t have every single date, or idea planned out yet, but these things will all come to the moon light here in the coming weeks & months. Thank you oodles and oodles for sticking through and reading to the end (if you have you earned a gold star sticker!) You already know how much I love and adore you, but just in case I still tell you every opportunity I get.
